Organization

The GIPE was set up in 2002. It is a non-for-profit association incorporated under Belgian law (ASBL).

Today it brings together more than 60 firms in more than 12 countries and it continues to increase its membership gradually on a selective basis in accordance with demanding selection criteria.

The GIPE is managed by an international board of directors which is renewed every two years by the assembly of delegates.

The assembly of delegates

This is composed of the representatives of all the networks and individual firms that are members of the GIPE. It meets every year to determine the Group’s policy and control the actions of the board of directors.

The Board of Directors has 7 members from different countries.

Management

Two managers from the founding networks are jointly responsible for the day-to-day management of the GIPE :

Philippe Frésard, notary-lawyer in Bern, Switzerland, is the coordinator of the swisNot network (Zwitzerland).
He has responsibility for the network’s scientific work, administration and financial monitoring.
